Getting Started

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Before attaching the base clip to the helmet please ensure that the desired area at the back of your helmet is room temperature and is free from dust and debris.Β Β
  2. Remove the protective 3M sticker from the universal clip included in your pack and press the glue side down to the cleaned surface of the helmet. For the best results we recommend allowing 24 hours before first use.Β Β
  3. Charge your device using the USB cable provided in the kit. 10-15 minutes is enough to fully charge the device.Β
  4. To turn on the device, press and hold the small power button for 2 seconds until a green light begins to blink, indicating that the device is powered on.Β Β
  5. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and download the HIT App (App) from the App Store for iOS users or Google Play for Android users. Then, follow the in-App instructions to set up a unique user profile and connect your device to your smartphone.Β
  6. After connecting the device to the HIT App, a blue light will blink continuously, confirming a successful Bluetooth connection.Β Β
  7. Make sure to turn your device off and on again before recording an activity- you will see the 'connected' in green on top left of record screen when your device is in record mode.
  8. A red light will blink at the bottom of the screen when the device has an active GPS signal and is recording your locationβ€”important to note when using the device without your phone, as it will store data in its internal memory.Β
  9. Wi-Fi is not required to use the device and the App. The device connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, and its internal memory stores impact and GPS data when Bluetooth is not active. Simply press "Record" in the HIT App to automatically download this data to your smartphone. You can then access and download it to your computer via the cloud.Β
